Used it since it was owned by Seagate, from win95, win98 upgrade to winXP version. Had to reinstall the system on my computer and am eager to get this program going again. I hope you can help since I already purchased the original program and the upgrades. I hope I don't have to reinstall Win 95, then 98. then XP. Great program!
Is there any way/software that I can use to restore my data? Vista and Win 7 won't allow the Backup My PC to be installed. My dual booting WinXP Pro has crashed and is unusuable.
Yes, install it on a working XP platform and repath the restore to a USB device, then copy the restore folder by folder to your Win7 or Win8 platform. I have used this since the first day and it simply will not work on Win7 or Win8.
I am looking for a copy of ver 4.71 for my Dad who lost his hard drive but has a data backup using 4.71. He has tried to restore using different versions and it will not restore. He has XP on one computer and Win 8 on another one. Can you help?
I have been using Stomp Backup my PC for a couple years now. I was completely satisfied until now.
My old computer's hard drive crashed and luckly I had all my packup up to date.
The problem I'm having is when I try to load the Stomt program into my new computer (HP m9400f PC with Vista OS) I get the following message.
The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows your running
Check your computer system information to see wheather you need an X86 (32 bit) or X64 (64 bit)
version of the program then contact the software publisher.
I have the booklet with no Telephone numbers but it said the number is in the help section. If I can't load the program on the new PC then I can't view the help. I tried online with many different searches for technical suppport with no luck.
With out loading the program onto the new vista's PC all my backup's are useless.
